The combination of the lack of a concrete solution to the issue of congressional funds and issues such as the payroll tax exemption, in addition to the fact that the House is still discussing internally which party will lead which permanent committee of the House, considerably reduces the level of activity in Congress. The rapprochement between Lula and Lira has caused some reaction in the Senate, as Senators believe that the President of the Republic has paid too much attention to the deputies and not enough to the Senate. Today, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) begins adjudication of the proposed rules that will be applied in the 2024 municipal elections.
