The PEC on Fuels would allow federal taxes and the ICMS tax on fuel to be reduced or even zeroed. The proposal would have an impact of R$ 27 billion on the tax collection of states and municipalities. Truck drivers may put pressure on the government and Congress to find a solution for the high prices of fuel. Deputy Hugo Leal (PSD-RJ) supports the overturning of the veto on INSS resources. The Ministry of Labor and Pension was the main ministry hit in nominal terms – R$ 1.005 billion. The legal team of the PT caucus is preparing a report on the possible installation of a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate the performance of former judge and presidential candidate Sergio Moro in the private sector. It is unlikely that a CPI with this objective will be installed.
