President Jair Bolsonaro participated in the session that enacted the PEC. In a direct message to women, Bolsonaro stressed that 2/3 of Auxílio Brasil payments are going toward women. The government expects the benefits to begin in August. One of the presidential vetoes that was reviewed provided for financial compensations through discounts on debts refinancing installment plans offered by the Federal Government. Another provided for compensation to the states through the appropriation of federal funds related to the Financial Compensation for the Exploration of Mineral Resources (CFEM). Congress will enter recess today and will return in August. Next week, on the 20th, the party conventions period begins and runs until August 5.
