Today, the Progressistas (PP) will meet to decide the party’s position in the presidential runoff. The party remained neutral in the first round. The PP elected 41 members of the Lower House and will hold six seats in the Senate in the next Congress. The expectation is that the party will endorse Flávio Bolsonaro (PL). Yesterday, the PSD, whose presidential candidate was Ronaldo Caiado, announced that it would remain neutral. Caiado, however, is expected to personally endorse Flávio today. Today, the Senate is expected to hold the first debate session on the proposed constitutional amendment that would end the six-days-on, one-day-off (6x1) work schedule. Senate President Davi Alcolumbre (União) has scheduled three debate sessions on the proposal this week.
