As the campaign enters its final stretch, the press is publishing a number of stories involving Flávio Bolsonaro and President Lula. The Federal Police extracted roughly three months of conversations between banker Daniel Vorcaro and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) from Vorcaro’s cellphone. Marco Aurélio Santana Ribeiro, known as “Marcola”, who at the time served as President Lula’s chief of staff, and Walfrido Warde, Daniel Vorcaro’s attorney, discussed Banco Master’s situation in a WhatsApp group called “Amigos” (“Friends”). Later today, Lula is expected to sign a provisional measure banning online sports betting platforms and digital casinos in Brazil. The measure will have a large fiscal impact. Next week will be the final week of the election campaign, including radio and television campaigning. The campaign ends on Thursday, October 1.
