Yesterday, the rapporteur of the Tax Reform proposal, Aguinaldo Ribeiro (PP-PB), submitted his report. He said that Arthur Lira wants to vote on the proposal by July 7. The text did not change much in relation to what was already presented. We will have a quieter week in Congress next week. There will be no major votes. But there are important events on Brasília's agenda. On Tuesday, June 27, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) will adjudicate a case against former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) that could render him ineligible for future elections. He is accused of abuse of political power and misuse of the media due to a meeting he held in July of last year with ambassadors at the Alvorada Palace, during which he attacked the electronic voting system.
