Yesterday, the Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, said that the income tax reform will only go to Congress after consumption reform. It will depend on the negotiations on Tax Reform in the Senate and the expansion of the Centrão's space in the government. If the government meets all the demands, it could create a favorable environment in Congress. It is important to note that the federal government issued a provisional measure yesterday that created the Program to Combat the Social Security Queue (PEFPS), to cut waiting times of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS). Today, 1.79 million people are waiting for a benefit analysis and medical expertise.
