Since the ICMS bill was altered, it will now return to the House for further analysis. Among the changes is the prioritization of the Basic Education Maintenance and Development Fund (Fundeb) in the federal government’s compensation to states for the loss in revenue due to the tax cut. One of the most controversial parts of the measure that changes the civil aviation legislation is the ban on any type of fee for checking in luggage weighing up to 23 kg on domestic flights. Bolsonaro will likely veto this measure. The election at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) will take place at 7 p.m. Ricardo Lewandowski will be the vice president. The inauguration of both will take place on August 16.
