Yesterday, the Senate approved the bill dealing with the Green Mobility and Innovation Program (Mover Program). Although rapporteur Rodrigo Cunha (Podemos-AL) removed the taxation for international purchases from the text, the provision was included again through an amendment. In other tax news, the provisional measure (MP) on PIS/Cofins credits issued by the government to compensate for payroll tax relief continues to cause repercussions. The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) criticized the measure yesterday. The rapporteur of the bill on payroll tax relief and government leader in the Senate, Jaques Wagner (PT-BA), is expected to submit his report in the coming days. The government is hoping to resolve the issue before Congress recesses on July 18.
