The Senate concluded yesterday the vote on the People’s Gas provisional measure (MP 1,313/25). As no substantive changes were made, the bill now moves to the President’s desk for final approval. Another government priority is ending the so-called “6x1” work schedule. According to Congressman Lindbergh Farias (PT–RJ), the government will submit a proposal to Congress on the issue after Carnaval. Haddad confirmed yesterday that he presented two names to President Lula (PT) for positions at the Central Bank: Economist Tiago Cavalcanti and Economic Policy Secretary Guilherme Mello. However, Lula has not yet invited anyone to take the posts. The two directorships currently vacant at the Central Bank are Economic Policy Director and Financial System Organization and Resolution Director.
