The Senate may vote this week on the bill addressing payroll tax relief. The rapporteur, Senator Jaques Wagner (PT-BA), will present a new report today, August 19. This week, the Ministry of Finance will send a study to Eduardo Braga (MDB-AM), the likely rapporteur in the Senate, detailing the impact of changes made in the House to the bill regulating Tax Reform (PLP No. 68/24). The bill is being analyzed with a constitutional urgent status and has a voting deadline of September 23. On Wednesday, August 21, the STF may rule on Direct Acts of Unconstitutionality (ADI) No. 5.826, No. 5.829, and No. 6.154, which challenge provisions of the Labor Reform (Law No. 13.467/17) that established intermittent work contracts.
