The First Panel of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) has scheduled for November 14 the start of the virtual trial to decide whether to accept or reject the indictment filed by the Office of the Prosecutor General (PGR) against Federal Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP) for his alleged actions supporting U.S. sanctions against Brazilian officials. Today, Senator Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), rapporteur of the bill that grants an income tax exemption for those earning up to R$ 5,000 per month, will present his report before the Senate’s Economic Affairs Committee (CAE). Also expected today is the establishment of a Parliamentary Committee of Inquiry (CPI) to investigate organized crime, formed in response to the recent police operation in Rio de Janeiro against the Comando Vermelho gang.
