This opens a five-day window for filing motions for clarification, which seek to address specific points in the decision. Meanwhile, the Lower House’s Committee on Constitution, Justice, and Citizenship (CCJC) approved the Constitutional Amendment Proposal on Regulatory Agencies (PEC 42/2024). The measure grants lawmakers oversight authority over these autonomous agencies. Today, the Senate’s Committee on Economic Affairs (CAE) is holding its final public hearing on the bill that exempts income tax for individuals earning up to R$5,000 per month.
