An amendment to the PEC has already been presented by Senator Orioviste Guimarães, from the Podemos. He proposes a total of R$ 80 billion of expenses outside of the spending ceiling for one year. Next week, the Senate is expected to conclude voting on the PEC. Yesterday, Senator Marcelo Castro (MDB-PI), general rapporteur for the Budget, submitted his preliminary report to the Joint Budget Committee. He proposed a 1.3% cut in the government's discretionary expenditures, such as investments and current expenditures, to pay for amendments. Today, the Transition Team's technical groups are expected to publish their first sectoral reports.
