The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) will today resume the trial of the case against former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) that could make him ineligible for future elections. He is accused of abuse of political power and misuse of the media due to a meeting held in July last year with ambassadors, at the Alvorada Palace, in which he criticized the electronic voting system. In the market, there are expectations related to the meeting today of the National Monetary Council (CMN) to decide on the inflation target for 2026. For 2024 and 2025, the target is 3% per year. The leader of the government in the House, José Guimarães (PT-CE), said that the bill that deals with the tie-breaking vote in the Administrative Council of Tax Appeals (CARF) should be voted on by the Senate next Tuesday.
