The holidays on Friday, April 18 (Good Friday), and Monday, April 21 (Tiradentes Day), will reduce legislative activity this week. Sessions in the Lower House will be held remotely. This week, the Executive Branch will submit the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC) on public security to the Lower House. The draft was presented to congressional leaders last week. A meeting of the União Brasil caucus in the House is scheduled to discuss selecting a new leader to replace Pedro Lucas (MA), who was invited by President Lula to head the Ministry of Communications. The party is divided on this issue.
