President Jair Bolsonaro received support from the Governor of Rio de Janeiro, Cláudio Castro; of São Paulo, Rodrigo Garcia' of Minas Gerais, Romeu Zema; and of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado. Former President Lula received support from PSD senators, as well as economists responsible for creating the Real Plan: Pérsio Arida, Edmar Bacha, Armínio Fraga, Pedro Malan, and former President Fernando Henrique Cardoso. On television, the electoral ads will be broadcast from Monday to Saturday from 1 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. and from 8:30 p.m. to 8:40 p.m. On the radio, the ads will air from 7 a.m. to 7:10 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 12:10 p.m. Lower House President Arthur Lira (PP-AL) said yesterday that he should schedule for next week the vote on the bill that makes legislation on polling institutes stricter and punishes companies if their projections are off by a large margin.
