This is the week before Carnival and, therefore, a relatively quiet one in Congress. The president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), will meet with party leaders to discuss the distribution of positions in the Permanent Committees of the House. Today there will be a meeting of the National Directorate of the PT. Finance Minister Fernando Haddad will speak at 10 am. Interest rates and the inflation target are among the topics to be discussed. President Lula has an important agenda for launching social programs this week. Today, he will participate in the signing ceremony of the decrees for the re-creation of the Pró-catador Program and for the revision of the Recicla+ Program.
