The main opposition alliance, Table of Six, now renamed the Nation Alliance (once again) made further progress towards becoming a true coalition in the leaders’ 26 January summit, while batting away some of the criticisms hurled at it.

Party sources claim a joint presidential candidate will be announced on 13 February, after the next leaders’ summit. While IYIP leader Aksener spoiling the party at the last minute can’t be entirely ruled out, CHP chair Kilicdaroglu is the odds-on favorite. In addition, the Nation Alliance will unveil its policy proposals, or the coalition protocol, Monday night, the details of which will shed light on the question whether it can convince the voters to give up on their beloved Erdogan to give them a chance.
