On March 30 Ukrainian helicopters attacked a fuel storage facility in Belgorod. Two people were injured and none killed. A fire destroyed tonnes of fuel. The governor of the region confirmed this on his Telegram channel. This is the first time that the Ukrainian military has crossed the border into Russia. Belgorod is 25 miles inside Russia.The incident suggests that Ukraine is attempting to launch counter-offensives, even if the target is not strategic. The Russian invasion has stalled somewhat and is apparently refocusing on the east. Russia is making progress in eastern Ukraine. Ukrainian President Zelensky also announced that the situation for Ukrainian forces in the south and east was extremely difficult.
