Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland agree on grain exports

On October 3 the two countries concurred that Ukrainian cereal products can be shipped via Poland to other countries. Much Ukrainian grain is sold to the Middle East and Africa. It no longer needs to be inspected at the Polish border but will be inspected at a Lithuanian port before being shipped overseas. Ukraine grain was accumulating in European Union countries because of difficulties exporting such a large quantity of grain. The shipping was not available. This depressed prices for EU producers. Some EU states imposed an embargo on Ukrainian grain. The victory of Robert Fico's Smer Party in Slovakia on October 2 will worry Ukraine. Fico said Slovakia shall not give a single bullet to Ukraine from now on. He largely supports Moscow's view of the Ukraine War.
