Ukraine lockdown at weekends

On November 12 the government announced a lockdown from November 14-30 - at weekends only. The aim was to slow the spread of the coronavirus. The lockdown closes all businesses except grocery stores, drug stores and hospitals during weekends until the end of November.President Zelensky is being treated for coronavirus in hospital. He was well enough to speak on TV about the situation. The 42-year-old president is not thought to have a serious case.Ukraine sustained over 12,000 coronavirus cases in one day. There are protests against lockdown, and some mayors are vehemently opposed to it.
