Ukrainian grain export deal succeeding

On August 5 three ships carrying a total of 80,000 tons of grain sailed out of Odessa. On August 6 a Barbadian ship arrived in Chornomorsk, Ukraine to pick up grain. It will sail to Turkey. Several more ships are due to dock in Ukraine over the next few days. Chornomorsk can handle 100 ships a month. More ships can be handled by the Port of Odessa. Turkey has been vital in expediting Ukrainian food exports. Turkey is one of the guarantors of the deal. On August 5 Putin met the President of Turkey. Putin expressed his wish to enhance economic cooperation with Turkey.
