Alleged Ukrainians attack into Russia, Ukraine denies involvement

On May 22 fighters crossed from Ukraine into Russia. A group called Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL) claims to have carried out the attack. They are anti-Putin Russians who are fighting on Ukraine's side. Ukraine denies attacking inside Russia. FRL attacked an FSB (domestic intelligence) and an Interior Ministry building. Russia said that Ukrainian saboteurs had attacked the Belgorod Region. There has also been shelling by Ukraine. It is reported that 2 Russian soldiers were killed. Russian media said the Ukrainians used a tank and some drones. Russia has evacuated civilians from near the frontier. FRL published a video showing its armed fighters in uniforms and they used the slogan ''Russia will be free". The attacks are an annoyance and possibly a humiliation for Russia. This war is supposed to make Russia safe and it is not. Russia will now have to devote more troops to defending Belgorod rather than preparing to resist the Ukrainian counter-offensive.
