On April Antonio Guterres was in the Ukrainian capital. He denounced the war. While he was there Russia launched missiles at the city. They killed 3 civilians.President Biden asked Congress for a USD 33 billion aid package for Ukraine. USD 20 billion of this is a military aid. It is likely that this will be passed. Biden proposed a law to allow the US to confiscate Russian assets and use them to fund Ukraine.Ukraine said it is investigating war crimes in Bucha and has identified 10 Russian suspects. It has identified 8,000 alleged crimes. The Russian Foreign Minister said this is a proxy war against NATO.Germany voted to provide heavy weapons to Ukraine.Russia is making ground in East Ukraine as even Kyiv admits. Moscow says the RUB will be the currency in areas of Ukraine under Russian rule.
