US donates USD 2.3 billion and rumors of NATO donations of USD 43 billion

On July 3 the US Defense Secretary said that it would make the donation for security assistance. Ukraine is pleading with allies for more air defense. The latest aid package consists of air defense interceptors and anti-tank weapons. In June 2024 the Netherlands and an unnamed EU country gave Ukraine Patriot missiles. Russia has stepped up attacks on Ukrainian air bases because F16s are expected in Ukraine in July 2024. Reuters reported on July 3 that the NATO countries have agreed to give Ukraine USD 43 billion in military aid in 2025. There was an attempt to agree an annual aid package for the next several years. But no agreement was reached. There has been no official announcement.
