Vote might be held for Kherson to unite with Russia

On June 29 a Moscow appointed official in the occupied Ukrainian city said a vote will be held on the region joining Russia. Kyiv suspects referenda might be held on September 11: a date when some Russian region are holding regional elections. Russia has said several times that it shall not seize any Ukrainian land. But Russian politicians have often publicly contradicted the official government line.
