In Syria, conditions are worsening on Turkey’s account. A new assault on Aleppo and Idlip Provinces by Russia and Assad could pile new refugees at the Turkish border, while PKK’s Syrian ally YPG is about to capture the critical town of Manbij. It has already set its eyes on linking the Kurdish cantons. The broader story in Turkish foreign policy is the rapid loss of allies, which might cost Turkey substantially once the ISIS is defeated.
